Morning Beach Hunt

As usual when the daylight strikes us early in Ireland, I got up early on this Sunday mroning and drove to the sea to detect one of the beaches. This morning, I found a few coins at Dumore East.

No, I don't hunt the water but I do get out on the beaches at low tide. Do you need to do any protective measures on a detector if your going to keep the coil submerged? I've always been a bit leary of keeping it under water for too long.
