i am as stated on this thread from mclean county. i dont" suppose anybody is going to fess up to finding any gold in any creeks and streams around here I'm talking about the bottom of the marraine (sp) in eastern mclean county. nothing i have researched would suggest any thing is to be found . but you can not ever tell. good luck to anybody who might want to search might see you out there this spring.

I have been thinking of going out and checking that area myself. I am going to get a gold detector soon. I may go there to try it out.

If your interested in glacial gold deposits then Chuck Lassiters book "Midwest gold prospecting" is the best book to get.. Everything you need to know about glacial gold is in there!! Great book and great guy too... Dredged with him on the Walbash in Indiana.. Don't forget to sign the petition to clarify the laws in Indiana..

I have never found any gold there, but then again, I have never been there either!!!! LOL
