Hey guys and gals, found this at the side of a street where horses were hitched and carriages were parked. How do I know if it's real? Is it called costume jewelry when I move to clean it a diamond fell out so I just took a picture before I do any other damage.

oh yeah the same area had this coin, I think is a Japanese 5 yen coin Metal Detecting finds 019.JPG Metal Detecting finds 011.JPG Metal Detecting finds 021.JPG

Pretty earring, but i don't think the stones are real. Probably dates from the 40s or 50s.

Yeah. I don't think they r real. Just by the settings.they would not be conducive to the brightness of the diamonds. The Yen. My mother and father have those they picked up in Japan in the early 70s. Looks the same.
