That is definitely an old lock and still looks to be in reasonable condition..

It would be great to find the key too... a long shot, but still neat if it was found.

I may have found the key to your lock...I found a barrell key from Ritchie & Sons a year or two ago. According to the Newark business directory they were only in Newark until around 1905 so the lock is pre 1906. I'll see if I can dig it out tonight and post a pic of it.

It didn't take me too long last night to look through some old finds to locate the key. I found it around 18 months ago at the site of an old railroad depot.
