Hi I got back from Kansas last night around 9 or so, I hope all yall will go to the members hunt threads and see the adventure.
I got my first ever Silver dollar (1884 S) at about 8 inches down,It was a exciting find and I dident know how to act when I got it, the Mercury dime (1944 D) was shallow and right behind Watercoloers Van (sorry about that watercoloer). the pendant was my fist find and was a repeating tone but like a pull tab. The Eagle thingy says "Cole" "The Standardized Car" dont know what it is but it rung like another silver dollar at about 6 inches deep.
Just wait till you see JD's finds

Killer find, I enjoyed the post alot!

Re: My Chisolm trail Hunt finds, 2 first for me

A Morgan is a rare find and a beautiful coin, and it must've been a huge thrill to dig it up;

*but* that Cole car plate (I'm guessing it would've come off the front of the car, possibly a radiator ornament) is, I think, the pick of the litter. That has to be a hell of a scarce item!!

As you're researching that one, try Hemmings Motor News. If it were me, I'd give their offices a call. Or Harrah's (if the car collection that used to be there is still there).
I'm trying to steer you toward the Big Fishies in the antique / collectible car community, because I think that emblem might fetch you a lot of money!

Great finds!

TC,
If you have time, I would like to see a close up pic of that broach. I think that is very interesting. What does the back look like too.

Hi nice finds

The 1884-S Silver Dollar is one of the Key Dates for the
San Franciso Mint...mintage 3,200,000...in the Morgan Silver
Dollar collection with a value of about $68.00.

Ok Burdie I am boxing up all the lovely iron "relics" I found and a few extras and I will ship them to you ASAP. I will have to do a little extra work to come up with the $100 for the fee. ;D :D
