The crops are still on and won't be coming off for a while, so today I decided to go check out a new site that was mentioned to me by the farmer. She said the beans are still in the field and it will be awhile before they come off. On my way there I drove past one of my sites that has given up several old coins, it was a tavern site I believe, there is lots of broken glass and china. So I went back to the site to see if there was another coin just waiting for me to pick up. This was one of those iffy signals, the coin was masked by some iron, my gut told me to dig the target, I was going slow and this is why I found it. I have found other 1/2 dimes over the years, this is my first this year. Nt.

I have detected this site for about 6 years, the oldest was a 1828 us large cent, I did find the butt plate of a brown Bess I am told, you never know what will come out next. HH
