My first find, well, kind of...a little comedic

So UPS rolled up today with my Fisher F2, my first MD since I was ten, currently twenty-seven. I live on two acres so I decided I could hunt or a while in my own yard. Less than ive minutes into hunting I got my first hit, iron, oh well I'm new so I dug it, or at least tried to. Seems, I should have been a little more careful with the plastic trowel Kellyco gives you (can't complain, it was free). I left the broken trowel to mark the hole and headed to Wal-Mart. Picked myself up a Fiskars softouch trowel with aluminum head. When I got back home it was too dark to dig. Guess I'll find out in a few hours.

Don't forget that broken trowel - otherwise
you might confuse the next generation of Treasure Hunters :icon_pirat:

those are loose "sand" trowels for the beach --not for real dirt digging --lesson #1 ---check

beware of learning lesson two the hard way -- pin pointers are not "probes" do not "jam" them into the dirt --it will break them

I got a chance to dig the target and it ended up being a nail. I continued on for a while, and found mostly trash, but I did find a dime, nothing special, it's a 1987, and what looks like a decrative key how, from a pece of furniture, the hole is too small to be a real key hole. The pic should be below. By the way, thanks for the tips guys, I'll have to remember not to misuses my pen pointer, I've learned, it's a nifty little gadget to have already.
