My first silver of the year...

Well, I didn't get out detecting much yet, but I did get this in the mail.

It's a poker chip made of 41 grams of 99.9% silver.

It was customisable.

Just curious....did you win a tournament on Pokerstars? How did you end up with a silver chip? That would make a great card protector against those aggressive dealers that want to rake your cards away unless there is something on top of them. Nice chip!

No it's not from a tourney win.

They have it available in the FPP (Frequent Player Point) Store for 7000 fpps.

I think I'll just keep ordering them. lol

May buy me a loaf of bread if poop ever hits the fan.

I used to play all the time on PS and FT but since the feds down here seized over 30 million in online poker winnings, I decided to give it up....I went to the largest table I could and blew it all in about 30 minutes....I still play often, but only at casino's and card rooms. It's nice to seem them give something back that isn't an Ipod, or some Poker Stars Hat!

Yeah Stars has come a long way. They we're scrooges... but they make so much money, they have to give back. Probably don't know what else to do with it.

You don't have to worry about online poker on those sites in USA now... that bill is going to get squashed... and they barely enforce it. Hell the govt. is trying to get its piece of the pie now.

Do they still limit the ways to deposit money on the sites? Before you couldn't use your bankcard to deposit you had to get some stupid Green Dot reloadable visa so you had to pay twice just to get $$ on the sites. Then if you wanted your $$ out of the account, you would have to request a check which would take 3 months to get to you...if it didn't get seized by the GOVT. How do you guys north of the border do it?

I use something called Instant Echeques and another one called Instadebit...

The Echeques one goes right from your bank acct, toStars, and when you cash out, back to your bank.

The latter is an e wallet, so you Purchase on stars thru them, then you withdraw to them.... then you go to their site and withdraw to your bank acct.

Should have many of new options for you guys down US as well.

You might have....I'm headed up to the casino tonight to play some 2-5 NL for a few hours...the warden is house sitting for a couple days, and I need to get my fix. I managed to turn 200 into just over 2700 on FT last year before the big seizure, but like I said I went and sat 10-20 and lost it all in a short period of time. I just worry about getting the $$ back....I've heard tons of horror stories, and until they can PROVE that all winnings will go back to me, I will be hesitant to deposit any more.
