My first three center

Hi all . Today I managed to find my first three center and a real weird 1887 seated liberty. I,ve been hunting in a old pasture that has produced a few silver . the three center came up in the high thirty's so I was really surprised to see silver. there is alot of trash at this site so I may have been getting a reading from that I don't know. I also managed to get a weird 1887 seated dime I have never seen silver so tarnished. Maybe the manure or maybe it's a counterfeit ? here are a few pics thanks for looking. Goldbill

The unusual tarnish might have been either the fertilizer or a nitrogen rich plant. What crops are planted there I wonder. I think it would be the nitrogen content from the fertilizer. My vote is it was the fertilizer, in the field, with a tractor.

There ya go GoldBill. My first 3 center was also holed. You have broke the ice now.

Mine also holed, but as most only get one (or none) in a lifetime of digging it doesn't bother me at all.

Good job recovering one Bill. Very small sink fast, and some no doubt get passed over because of the relatively small signal.

Re: My first three center

Thanks everyone The trime (is that what they are officially called?) is really small and thin, hard to hold between your fingers. The hole in it is small also it must have been hung from a tread. If I could just find a small GOLD CHAIN I would rehang this puppy and wear it myself. Heck I probably would hang it from even a LARGE GOLD chain if I found one . Good luck hunting everyone Goldbill
