Today i hunted the permission next to my colonial honey hole. Thirteen wheats but no silver:BangHead: I did get a first with with what i think is a crusty three ringer thats flat on one side. I also got a big melted ball of lead, a concave flat button/rosette with a little design left on it and what looks like a small metal pencil/pen. Thanks for looking and for any help on an id

Nice bullet! Musket ball there too? Is the roundness a button? The rod is a big ?. Punch? Firing pin?

the button is a type known as a "dandy" button -- plus you got a 3 ringer and a round ball type musket ball (likey 58 or 69 cal) the pencil you got is exactly that --a civil war era type "soot" pencil used to write letters back to home with. (soot from a fire /burnt wood was gotten on it to write with) could also be used to scratch you name onto / into stuff as well .....your into some cool civil war era stuff there..

I thought the ball of lead was too big and not perfectly round like all my other ones to be a musketball. The wheats ranged from a few inches to 7"
