well done alittle more searching around on the acreage, alot of google earth satellite terrain looking (seeking shelter from this 90 degree weather), and I noticed a raised area that I haven't really been able to see on ground level. It's down hill from my colonial site and across the creek on the flat terrain about two football fields in length away. It clouded it up and cooled very slightly maybe from 95 to 94, so I said heck with it and went anyway, the tall grass is starting to die from lack of rain so I can see the contour of the ground alittle better and low and behold I could see the shape of a horse shoe shaped mound and then a square shaped raised spot down from the center almost like a U with a square in the middle. So I swung alittle as much as I could tolerate and had a pretty good hit that was staying up towards the 89-93's. I put the detector down and realized I forgot my shovel. So out of excitement of not having any good hits lately I grabed a rock and went at it. Thankfully I stopped when I seen a sliver of shine and I got happy, and in the side of the raised spot were these two coins sitting on each other. it was my first dig where I had two coins in the same hole! will post pictures when I get them cleaned up alittle. (:

Nothing like some silver to put a smile on your face! Congrats!

Not yet work has had me drained. I just now got these wiped off. Planned to go back once the creek goes back down.
