Had a great day on Sunday, weather was perfect for a little relic hunting. My friend and I went out into the woods by my house, a very long walk. We found some old hut sites that had obviously been dug out long ago, and some dig holes that looked only a few days old. We spent about 5 hours around that area, we found some flat buttons a few bullets and a few eagle buttons. On the way back, I had gotten a little further ahead and decided to stop and wait for my partner. I had stopped in an area that had a lot of nails and iron pieces, very noisy ground. I decided to find a good signal and dig it while I was waiting. Out popped the Virginia Button, I wasn't sure what I had until I got back to my house and carefully took the layers of dirt off.
Couple of rough looking eagles, one is an I.
The one flat button still looks nice on the back.
Some other items I dug along the way, I think that is costume jewelry?
Bullets and buckles, I think the round thing might have been a small pocket watch because of the hole in the side.
Thanks for looking, HH.
