Had a great day on Sunday, weather was perfect for a little relic hunting. My friend and I went out into the woods by my house, a very long walk. We found some old hut sites that had obviously been dug out long ago, and some dig holes that looked only a few days old. We spent about 5 hours around that area, we found some flat buttons a few bullets and a few eagle buttons. On the way back, I had gotten a little further ahead and decided to stop and wait for my partner. I had stopped in an area that had a lot of nails and iron pieces, very noisy ground. I decided to find a good signal and dig it while I was waiting. Out popped the Virginia Button, I wasn't sure what I had until I got back to my house and carefully took the layers of dirt off.:hello2:

Wow, nice relics, killer button. Well done, in iron infested ground, not an easy task.
Could the round thing be a lady pendent watch case?

Sweet hunt!! The VA button looks awesome. Always a great find.

Not bad for a well hunted, iron infested site. Great button.

Great find!! So happy for you!! I am still waiting for you and Jimmy taking me to hunt.

Great saves! Especially the button. Being a 9th generation Virginian, that is something that is definitely on my bucket list.

Beautiful VA button, glad you were able to save it while some gilt remained.
