I know you are realy good with these things, I found this charm or medal in the beach, near by there is a wreck called "Spring of Whitby" This piece does look old, I know that King Henry started marking the finest silver with the word sterling in 1158.
Have you seen this symbol before "foot with wings" ? Do you know what is it??
Your winged foot is not the type depicting athletic prowes, yours is religious in nature. The foot represents the soul and the wings represent the elevating of the soul. No telling how old as the symbol has been around for a long time. pb
You say this because you know it for a fact or you are just guessing, I think it LOOKS religious but not sure, Iam latin and I come from a very religious family, I have seen all kind of saints but I have never seen something like this. I think its something else.
Just googled "winged foot" and found this. I'm sure there are other sites that will tell you the same thing. Usually if the winged foot is in profile it represents athletics, speed or communication but, if the foot view is from above, it represents the soul. Happy Easter
