They were out scratching the dirt, doing their chicken thing and dug up a memorial cent. They also got an antique matchbox style car. Not bad for four dumb clucks. One is named "Scrambles", I bet you can guess why. That bird just isn't right in the head. They just turned 2 years old and were mad at me tonight because I did NOT bring them their usual $1.99 blueberry muffin from the store. They are not spoiled, no, not at all!

Yard bird...mmmmm good.

Yard bird gonna peck your eye out!

Maybe you have a hen that likes to take metal-detecting road trips, like one of mine.

Old 'Red' hitched a ride on the rear axle of my pickup once, and took a 15-mile, 70 mph ride down the highway to my detecting buddy's house. I was unaware. Later, we had to round up old Red and she jumped back onto the rear axle and we took off for home!

Big nuggets with yummy centers. Had to put ceramic eggs in the hen house so they wouldn't eat their own eggs, with moderate success.

"Yeah, but how well do they do on the beach?" (chronic Minelab complainer)

When do chickens have 2 names?

When they are pro-KFC and post-KFC...
