My new toy!

Yes, I have a full set of tools in there, although I'm going to get a set dedicated to the boat only here in a bit when I get to the store.

I've never used bearing buddy's. I have had boats for years on and off. I get one of the small size grease guns and twice a year overfill the grease fittings with marine grease. I can't find my old grease gun so will get a new one today also. My "rule" is every time I get back with the boat it gets a thorough washing, trailer, truck and all to get the salt out of it.

And yes I have the 4 way jack and correct jack stand for it.

Rook3434, the flat floors make it nice. I'm not going to do the forward area as it will allow for easier cleaning and isn't really necessary for what we're doing. I'll get a pic of the finished rear floor today and post it.

And health is good except of course for arthritis, hence the flat floor in boat. I have three rules 1) everyone on board always, ALWAYS has a life jacket on, I know I'm a dinosaur

2) Won't go out in hazardous weather and if water temp is under 55 degrees (avoids hypothermia issues)

3) Don't go alone anymore

Here's the finished floors and I looked up the "bearing buddies" and bought a set, they will be here tomorrow.

No, but maybe "USS Yougottabekidding-at your age?"

And don't forget the DUCT TAPE!

Haaa ha !! Lol !! That's great smokey !!

When we "beach" the boat, we then walk it out to about 3' of water and anchor there. With that, it's very unlikely we will be left high and dry.

Congrats! Underway the only way :skullflag:

Smokey

When I bought this project boat I noticed that the the bottom of the rig had been sprayed with a coating a bit thinner than the Rhino liner. I really like that because of the beaching. It's Purdy tough. Knowing that that will reduce speed but I'm not into speed anymore. My rig has a 50 HP merc and still runs plenty fast for me.After finishing the floor I put a coat of paint matching the darkest color of the camo on the floor and before it dryed sprinkled Jim Dandy Grits on the wet paint. The paint soaked up the grits and after drying I vaccinated the excess grits and put another coat of paint over that coat. Wa Laa, a non slip floor.ill take a pic and send. Turned out nice.

Hi Pirate Captains have a parrot or a monkey but Smokey got a CHICKEN LoL TP

Fun!

As River Rat said in Wind in the Willows: "There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."

Your floor looks great! I opted for the press on stuff. If it goes bust, I'll probably do the sand mixture too. I had thought of it, but likes the teak look.

Looks like an awesome toy! Good luck with your new adventures.

The chickens told me they don't want to go. They read on the internet there are sharks, and ospreys and eagles and other stuff that eat chickens out there!

Oh the cats don't even want ME to go!

The primary use will be for getting to otherwise inaccessible areas to look for shark's teeth and pirate treasure! And the best part - no loan! I got my tools out...View attachment 1756565

I put a floor in the mid section, where most of my time will be spent, and then laid boat decking on the of the plywood, it looks like teak planking. I did it because I didn't want to risk tripping on the boat ribs. View attachment 1756566
