I acquired permission to detect an old house that was built around 1900. I managed to find some newer clad and 2 wheats (1917,1949). The 1917 is my oldest coin found to date. I know that's not old compared to what most of you all find, but it was a real rush for me. I also found a lot of junk. I’m really starting to get tired of digging everything but I can’t stop, I’m afraid I’ll miss something.

God Bless
Mike

Good job on the Wheat Cents. They came out in nice condition.
There's bound to be many more great finds to be made at that site.
Best of luck to you on future hunts. HH!

Congrats on the oldest coin.

You got it. Dig it all. You eliminate the possibilities of a miss and will almost always gain something by doing so.

I agree with the others... I'll take 1917's any day of the week. Love those early Wheats. Actually they're pretty scarce even in the old sites I hunt. Most of the wheats I find are in the 40's and 50's.

Congrats and HH!

Give a 1917 any ol' time......after pulling tons of pull tabs and a few cents in clad.......a 1917 just like any other 89 year old coin looks........SWEET!!!! Congrats........gregd573
