My second hunt in the silver ground

First of all thank you all for all the likes and comments on my first hunt the day before yesterday.

This hunt was a good hard 3-hour hunt and had to move a bit more around picking up a few targets here and there. I am still very satisfied with this hunt, but unfortunately I got to move on to new ground. Here is what I found yesterday morning. Would have posted it earlier but had quite a few things to do to get ready for the move.The one three pence coin is British of course. Got the rosie also, 1 wheaty, and some fairly old Canadian pennies. actually a lot of the other pennies are old also. So I will have to say I learned something new that in my previous hunt I actually had 2 "Newfoundland" pennies which are before 1949. Now these pennies are before 1949 but are Canadian pennies, so I was scratching my head and finally figured out that these folks we're from Canada...duh!


Also I have this old thingamajig and my guess is that it's some sort of paper holding device. Anybody recognize this please feel free to pass on some comments.

We have finally moved on down the road to another town have got set up here on a huge old shut down American base in Newfoundland. This base goes way back to the end of World War II and into the Cold War with Russia. So I got my first permission to hunt the entire base anywhere I want to. To put things in perspective this old base has the old gun emplacements, bunkers, air strips ,hospitals and on and on. And on top of that before the base was built here it used to be a community late 1800s(or before) and tore down to build this base. So bring your metal detector we got a lot of swinging to do, all this in a day and a half or so....ugh !!
