Found my second SLQ today diving off an old dock near my house. It's in pretty good shape for an old water find. The Merc is more typical of what can happen to silver when it sits in freash water for a long time. It get's wrinkled with these wierd worm like lines. Kind cool too though. HH

Awesome quarter SeattleALE... It appears that we humans aren't the only thing that wrinkles after being in the water too long... ;D

Nice SLQ, but I have never seen a Merc like yours. I have found a lot of them over the years and a lot of them in water and still have never found one like it. Strange. HH Dennis in Idaho

Hey nice finds. I've never seen a Merc like that. Learn something new everyday. At least you got a nice readable date on your SLQ. WTG.

Nice finds,

I love standing libs. That merc ranks as one of the ugliest ever dug. I'd still take it though.

Great finds!
I think the lines on the merc are just probe/jab marks from others trying to get to her before you did. ;)

Off topic:
I'm here in Seattle as well. Do you have your intructor rating? Always wanted to learn to dive. I was in Hawaii with my brother and his wife a few years ago. She was a month away from her intstructor cert. We had to stick to snorkeling, but that ain't bad on the big island!

Nice finds, what area are you diving in? Seems like if you get around some of the old log yards you might find lots of junk :)

You can expect a few wrinkles on an 88-year-old woman :D

Awesome coins, sometimes I wish I lived near the water..
