We went to the thrift store today. I was standing talking to the lady about her jewelry she was wearing and my son started putting these in the cart. He paid $12 total for them along with some other nerf guns. I'm gonna list them bin Obo at $65 as a lot. He's happy! I'm jealous :) but glad to see he gets what I do. There is an extra one he is keeping as well! Then whatever they sell at, half goes into his savings account~ which we told him and his sister whatever they save, we match and his grandma will match half of it!

LOVE it! My oldest is 8. He often wonders why I spend hours looking at items in a thrift store. Now he wants to sell his NERF gun arsenal and make some cash. Gotta love it!!!

It's a good thing.

My son got started when he was 8. He sold a rare Bey Blade to a classmate for $25. It cost me $5 and it taught him a valuable lesson. Now at 21 he is selling $100's of collectible vinyl records a week with a 4-10 times markup.

Wow...that is Some markup...either finding Gold for Near Nothing, or making a killing off customers who desire a bit too much. ;)

Good for him

Normally when I go out I'll have them each give me a $1. I'll buy something and sell it for them. They get half and half goes away in their savings... Unless they don't do their chores during the week. Then savings and my paypal!

Usually the only "help" I get from my kids is when we're walking around a yard sale and one of my children blurt out loudly, "Dad, why are you getting that? Are you going to sell that on eBay?"

Thanks kids ... let's just announce that to the sellers :BangHead:
