My son made a Scoop he calls "3S'. What do you think of it?

So, my son wanted to do a project. He said that it's a pain when we go night-detecting, to see what he is doing, and see what's in the scoop.
So he started with a beach-sand scoop (because that's where we hunt at night many times), with 3 key features.
He calls it the Lighted Sand, Swivel, Scoop or 3S for short.
He can light up the digging area, and then swivel the light to light up the finds in the scoop.
Cool, right?

Great starter scoop for a YOUNG person that can bend down a few hundred times while hunting. Nice ingenuity. But, us OLD guys use scoops with long handles. Our backs are not that foregiving anymore.

SeekerGH.... yes, existing scoop, with a swivel flashlight attached. No patent needed. :) haha. But hey, it's all about improving upon an already proven invention.

I guess one has to attach a flashlight somewhere...

Again, sorry for being a stick in the mud, but you did say made a scoop. Now it seems you have just wasted my time.

Kudos to your son for coming up with a solution to a problem. Tell him that working with his hands and getting dirty for a living is not a bad thing. Most of the younger ones these days just want to push buttons and stay clean. My son is into Blacksmithing and seems to have a knack for it. Myself I am a metal fabricator (almost 40 years now) and am proud of what I do. The fact that he had a solution to a problem and thought it out must make you proud. By the way my son has no interest in MD, I guess we all fail at something.
