Here is my XP Deus water kit.
I used the stock water antenna, it's a very good product, the lashing point very fine. Unfortunately has a weak point, where the cable easily broken!
When you move the coil in the water every swing moves the cable. See the picture.
Need some protection there. cable strain relief, etc...
I went back to my previous idea. Old BNC coaxial cable. It's thicker than stock, but stronger, thinner than RG6 common coaxial cable, but more flexible. And black
The coil side cable end unshielded, put in a plastic tube, cast with hot glue. Fixed to coil with insulating tape. Very rugged solution
The controll-box cable end hot glued in a piece of Polycarbonate.
Ad some 3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fasteners
to Polycarbonate and at the back of the waterproof case.
The controll box put in a cheap but very thick waterproof case, it has 3,5 jack connector.
It works perfectly for me. Both fresh water and sea. Tested under water (snorkeling) with waterproof earbud (not the best solution for ears)
The next step build a waterproof heaphone. Why hasn't volume control in deus??

I use Deus for waterhunting many time, with waterproof plastic case. I wear thick scuba gloves then, it's a hard to push the button situation too.
I put small silicone rubber bumpers to the buttons. ( Like uses include Kitchen Cabinets, Doors, Drawers for protection and noise reduction on closing.)
Easily palpable, protect the plastic case and makes it easy to push the buttons.
