I was channel flippin and this show about scrap and filling a freighter with 500,000 tons to move to China was on. They built an entire scrap yard on the docks and used monster crushers for cars, huge chains to break down the appliances and all kinds of other ways to seperate the wheat from the chaff (metal from upolstery) they even scrapped the plastic. I was amazed how far ahead of our country the other side of the ocean is.

I wish I'd seen it.

On that kind of scale it's all about money and somebody figured out a way to make some.

I like the one where they were scrappin huge container ships and tankers in India I think.
Scary to watch them work without any safety gear in those countries with no OSHA type regulations.
