i live in south east az and one of the old timers i know talks about his father looking for nazi gold around dome pass out side of yuma.

The only Nazi's I know of in Arizona were the one's sitting in a POW camp in Phoenix.

uh at the end of WW2-- there was a catholic priest that assisted SS men get new documents and flee to south American countries that were Nazi friendly * ( this was called the "rat line" / or Odessa group operation) -- it was common during WW2 to give nazi agents / spys operating in the us and out of mexico --money , diamonds , gold and other items of high value to be used to pay their way and to "buy" information or to "bribe" folks into not revealing them if the were found out (until the person who found them out could safely be "gotten rid of" that is) -- after the wars end many of these "sleeper agents" quietly hid the money and items entrusted to them --their names and locations were well known to the SS men who ran the spy networks , if any of the former SS men showed up --these funds best be "on hand' to help support them -set them up anew --if the funds were spent or misused well things would not go well for the former Nazi agents --so the former agent could not just spend the funds for fear that some day a "former SS man might show up to "reclaim" it --so they had to just sit on it until they died.--so they would bury it or hide it in some way for "safe keeping" .-- I have a very interesting "document" that I found in a WW2 era American farming magazine * --its a 1935 Nazi "holiday cruise ship" passenger ticket that ran from "HAMBURG ,GERMANY" (THE FORMER HEADQUARTERS OF THE NAZI SPYING SCHOOLS) TO VARIOS PORTS IN PORTUGAL , SPAIN , FRANCE, ENGLAND AND ALL OVER SOUTH AMERIA -- EVEN SO EARLY AS 1935 THE NAZI'S WERE PLANTING SPY "SLEEP CELLS" * --LATER THESE PLANTED AGENTS USING FAKE ID';S SLIPPED FROM SOUTH AMERICA INTO AMERICA * -- THE NAME OF PERSON ON THE "DOCUMENT" WAS AN OLD "FARMER" DURING WW2 --WHAT BETTER WAY TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE LOCAL SHIPPING DOCKS AND LOCAL MILITARY BASES THAN TO BE A "FOOD SUPPLIER"--ONCE THE INTELL WAS GATHERED --GO HOME TO THE RURAL FARM AND TRANSMIT THE SHIP CONVOY INFO TO A SUBMARINE OFF SHORE .-- NOTE THE DOCUMENT WAS N A 1942 /1943 ERA MAGAZINE ROUGHLY THE SAME TIME FRAME AS THE "NAZI U BOAT AGENT LANDINGS IN PONTE VEDRA , FLORIDA) WHY ANYONE WHO WAS NOT A NAZI AGENT WOULD KEEP SUCH AN ITEM IS VERY ODD --SINCE THE ITEM WOULD SHOW YOU WERE A NAZI * AND GET YOU CHARGED WITH SPYING WHICH WAS A "DEATH SENTENCE"--6 OF THE 8 NAZI U BOAT SPYS CAUGHT WERE PUT TO DEATH --THE OTHER 2 HAD LONG JAIL TERMS
