I've been using the safari going on two years now and have learned my machine quite well when it comes to finding coins and brass relics. I almost never dig iron signals unless it gets overloaded. I hunt an area that was loaded with action during the civil war but also had 3 or 4 old homes on it. My concern is that i may pass up a cannon ball or gun. Are there any safari users out there with any suggestions when it comes to hunting iron relics? What iron signals do you dig? What settings do you run your machine on? Thanks for looking.

If that's the case, then maybe you should go to all metal and dig every signal that you hear.

I thought all relic hunters dug everything since a lot of what they want is made of steel/iron.....?

(if a cannonball is deep enough, it wont give you an overload. so yes, you could be missing good deep targets)
