im lookin for a gold detector that can work best on most types of soil and great depth and water resistent for creeks, would be nice if it could do uther stuff like coins and jewlery, but gold nuggets of all sizes and great depth is a must!
i have around $2000. to spend.
its going to be my first detector, and my last.took me awile to save for this,so i want to make the right choice the first time.i can handle a learning curve so complexity is not a problem. :dontknow:

PS
I wont be using it at the beach! i hate the beach

Hi,
I don't have personal experience with all but can possibly point you where to begin your own research.

With 2000 USD you might be able to buy 2.
One PI for gold, like the Garrett Infinium for gold.
An X-Terra 70 for small gold and coins/relic etc.

However if you want a gold only machines many would point in the minelab way. They are PI and do go deep, read the reports yourself.

Hope this helps,
Eu

PS. I suggest you look around a bit, you'll be able to get lot's of good info on forums.
