Had to hunt today! It is in the 70's and beautiful except for the 40mph winds. Hit the same site I have been working on for awhile now. I pulled out 4 wheats, one real pretty 1913, this buckle, and this bullet which I need an ID on. It is 3cm tall and about 1.5 thick. It also comes in weighing 28 grams. Any ID help is appreciated. Thanks and Keep Swinging.

Do you have a base pic of the bullet? Looks like a gardner bullet, with a base pic I will know for sure. Jonathon

Yes it most definitely looks like a Gardner....or 2 Ringer as some call'em. That is a rare bullet to find out in California. Very NICE job! FYI: Gardner's were used mostly by the Confederate States of America. There were several small skirmishes between unionists and Secess there in California..
