I found this Kay Jewelers gift coin metal detecting a neighbor of my parents house that was built in 1938. I'm not sure how old it is, but I know Kay Jewelers has been around since 1916 by what I researched. Any help would be appreciated.

every kiss begins with "kays"--- recent TV jingle for them --- still in bussiness saw their TV ad the other day -- it basically -- $10 off on a $50 or more sale --(20% discount token at $50 -- jewelry mark ups are huge so trust me it not hurting em any) --I have no ideal when this one was made but as a rule most bussiness's other than arcades haven use tokens in a good longtime --so itmost like old -- these types of "coins" are properly called "tokens"

Yep. Jewelery is marked up 3-500 percent or more. So those big sales are nothing . Same with retail sales on clothing, etc. Kays hasn't been around too long, if I'm not mistaken. Nice find though. I've never seen one before

Take that rascal to your nearest Kay's Jewelers, and stir up some interest......might even get invited to look at some lawns of
some of the people in the jewelry store......and I'll bet you , they contact their hq, and see when that particular token was issued.
Great find......and, might even be able to redeem it for the amount, or more, on a jewelry purchase. :icon_sunny:
