Need ID Please

I found this point with the tip missing in Kerrville Texas on Saturday. I have no experience at all with Indian Artifacts. Could anyone ID or give me some idea on period and type? I don't mean to be a bother but I have no idea about things like this. It is also very thin.

LOL! I was not detecting unfortunately. My wife was on call at her hospital there so we stayed the night. We went walking along the creek that runs through Kerrville and I saw the base of this sticking out of the dirt. I'm thrilled that this thing is so old!
