I picked up a bag of jewlery from the thrift store and got a few keepers. I am thinking of listing this pendant on ebay instead of just taking scrap value for it. Close to 2 grams of 14k gold. Opal. And 5 diamonds (real)

Any idea what it would fetch? And how many carat diamond is it? I can provide more pics if necessary

Thanks

When you list on Ebay, part of your narrative might tell the viewer what type of fire opal this is; there are about a dozen types (classifications). Putting down some 'ink' on the specific classification may produce a higher price realized.

Thanks guys for the help. The price sounds about right.
I know there are many different types of opal so it will take some research. To figure out the type

I couldn't help my self and went back and grabbed the other bag for $25

2 small sterling rings. And was really surprised by this crucifix
Very very light for its size about 3 grams and hollow. No markings. But I acid test anything that even remotely looks like gold lol. Tested at 14k so a very pleasant surprise
I really hate to sell this for scrap

So I am thinking of listing with a buy it now of $100. Too much?? Too little?

Just curious... did you test that for 18k? that marks sure looks like the top of an 8 to me.
The pendant that is.

Actually I didn't. And I see what you are seeing. I will test for 18 here shortly and post the results. Thanks for the heads up

Retested at 14k. Look with a loupe. It is a 4. The blur in the pic makes it look like 8
