Nice jars. You should fill them with wheats & Indians that you find.

I've found a few bottles/jars myself and yes they are cool. I was hunting an old 1800's mining site in California, it was way out in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. I started finding all of these Champagne bottles that had turned a dark purple, they were everywhere and the glass was filled with bubbles. I also found an old monitor nozzle in that location, a 4" I.D. output unit.

Somehow my pea brain was not able to connect the dots when I was out there. The relationship between a LOT Champagne bottles scattered everywhere, a monitor nozzle and a gold camp Like Duhhhhh, These boys hit it big! So, the bottles tell a tale that needs to be considered as to what the story being eluded to is or could be, FYI..............63bkpkr

Wheats and Indians? Hes from PA, how bout Moonshine and Brandy! :icon_thumright:

I actually like the wheats & Indians idea. Better than what I was doing with them, which was rolling them up for some damn reason. Actually, I'm gonna modify that a bit and do one for wheats & Indians and another for nickels and the third for silver.

Nice jars! I don't set out to find bottles but I sometimes come across some nice keepers myself.

Yes they are! You might not believe it after all the downplaying of relics that I've been doing lately. But, I do actually like to go bottle hunting sometimes. Yours have cleaned up particularly well! What do you use?

Thanks for sharing.

New Zealand Spring-scented Gain dish soap and whatever sort of chemically treated hard water comes out of my tap in the kitchen...

Scotk9 cleaned the 1896 Ball jar with aluminum siding cleaner, though.
