New lot, todays wheat pennys

I got permission a few days ago to hunt a lot here in my home town that hasn't had a house on it since the early 40's. I checked it out today for an hour or so. There is very little trash here as far as pulltabs go, I was glad to see that. I know this is meager for you guys but I was stoked to get three wheats while I was there. 1919, 1936 and 1928. I can't wait to go back, but I'll have to go while the owners young son is in school. He hovered over me the whole time and insisted on digging the holes and going through the dirt.....lol
Oh well, this kid will be swinging a metal detector before long. Maybe silver next time.

Those are great finds for an hour or so hunt. The last few hunts I've done haven't been anything more than clad.

Wheat's are great indicators. . . when you start finding old Wheat,
there's bound to be old silver as well. . . and maybe older
