New site last evening...lots of relics

I am only posting a few of the items found last evening. I have never dug more mason jar lids at one site than this one. No less than 30 of them. The first pic is a grouping of some of the smaller items.

This next picture is a few of the larger items found, large caster, brass door knob and a whatsit. I thought maybe the whatsit was part of a lantern and I posted a close-up also showing the patent date of 1875.

This last picture must be one of the first Dr. Scholl's products, patented 1915. It still had leather on the opposite side.

As much as I like finding relics, I am in a slump for finding coins. Hope to get out a little this weekend and break the curse.

Nice digs! You WILL break the curse. I had a long spell a time back that a coin was nowhere to be found, then all of a sudden, they start jumping out of the ground. From the looks of the relics you just unearthed,I cant imagine that there are not some coins really near by. Keep it up, they are waiting for you :thumbsup:

hey mark glad to see you are finding something. i am dying a slow and painful death from lack of hunting i have been in grand rapids for the last two days trying to cram for my insurance exam and still have a day to go. so keep it up the coins will fill your pouch soon. hope to see you soon keith
