hit a newer salt water spot and got fresh dropped coins and some silver jewelry
hit an old saltwater spot (thought I might get some fresh drops) and got deep
older finds - 1926 gold class ring - 1800s flat button - old bathing suit buckle
circa early 1900s - old lead indian - and a few other older items
P'ed me off that someone been there hunting recently and thru most of that aluminum
they dug down deep back - 95% of it was right on top and I could see older scoop depressions
this is a cove beach and it takes time for holes to fill in - they did a good job cleaning the new good stuff out
I found one new penny - but they left me some keepers

Love the soldier and class ring! Congrats. -Lisa & John

Way to go Casper! The gold class ring is a great find. There's no excuse for that other detectorist to leave all that scrap aluminum behind. Very poor form on his/ her part.

Nice going on the old gold Casper. Hats off to you for picking up after others as well, just don't get it sometimes.

Great Ring, good hunt. To bad though about the trash dug up and left behind laying there, makes us all look bad, even more so when you come across it like that in a park setting. When I work with a young guy detecting, not only is recovery important, I point out about the trash recovered, "You dig it, you take it with you". Nice finds Casper, again, Great Ring.

But.....what does one find on a new-old site? ;)
