if you are new to metal detecting hobby? best choice is- Metrotech 220!!! The orange round speaker is seperate! and when it is pluged into the detector, it turns it on !!!! or you can plug a set of headphones !!!! and that will turn it on !!!! Detector is as new and works well !!!! and includes the hard case!?!?! A lot of people are going back to the 100 Khz !!!! to hunt where the newer ones are missing rings and jewelry.!!!! This is a great machine for relic hunting !!!! ::) http://cgi.ebay.com/Metrotech-220-m...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item53df2e1cff

Wow it has the hot shot head too. There is a little screw with a rubber bushing around it on the head that you are not supposed to mess with. Those of us who just have to mess with things found out that by messing with the screw you could get a little better depth in some areas. As for depth in good ground you could get a civil war bullet about 6" deep. In some mineralized soil you could put a quarter on the ground and put the coil right over it and not pick it up. In it's day it was the best thing out there.
that one does look like it's in nice shape.
