Just decided that every time I go beach hunting this year to pay for everything with the New dollar coins, especially at the beach. What better way to get these coins onto the beach? HH gayle

Not a bad idea. Anyone with any kind of dector could find these. Maybe in a year or 2 you can go out hunting an find 20-30 coins in a few hours & come home with 10 - 15 $ in coins. Wishfull thanking anyway. With Gas prices at $2.50 +++ this would help alot of us out.Speaking alot for myself with the nearest Beach to me is 10 miles one way..

An Excellent Idea ! Now if all of us would start using the new $1 coin, we will reap the rewards in the future. I'm on my way to the bank to buy a couple of rolls.

I like it ! Be on the look out for coins mistakenly struck without " In god we trust " on the side. These are coming from the Philadelphia mint and are selling for $50.00 on E-bay. There may be 50,000 of these in circulation according to the Associated Press article.
