Hi I'm a newbie but registered in March 2018?
Anyway I'm always looking for new but old oddities to collect or share with others, I don't have a metal detector but would like to get one since I live in a very historical area!
Bucks County, PA. Really close to where our first president George Washington crossed the Delaware river many years ago.
Washington Crossing is right around the corner so I'm sure I'd find some interesting things. When I do I'll be sure to post them!
Happy hunting to all and any recommendations for a reasonable priced metal detector to start with would be appreciated.
Thanks,
kimbabrt

Welcome from southern Maryland.

Also, all the major detector manufacturers have a wide range of detectors at various price points. Before you look at prices, I suggest you establish what you want the detector to do or how yoou intend to use it. Do you need it to be fully waterproof? Will you use it in water? How about black sand at the beach? Salt water or fresh water? How important is the warranty to you? Once you have a list of what you need the machine to do, or your preferences, then look into machines by Whites, Garrett, Fisher, Tesoro, etc.

Hello and welcome -Get a better detector than you think you need- it will get you hooked on metal detecting faster by doing a better job of detecting and not finding very much to start with by a average detector , but also get what you can afford to buy. Try Kellyco, talk to them and see what kind you want. happy hunting
