Would have done more but the kids were getting too tired.

I'm hooked - this is fun. I just have trouble trying to come up with new places to hunt.

Don't know how old your kids are, but could they be old enogh to enjoy detecting themselves? A cheap detector might do the trick, with a bit of encouragement from dad!

Thanks everyone. I've been doing some research on some ghost towns around my state. Some look pretty promising. Looks like a fun day-trip for me and the family.

Well some days will be better then others. Now that i have gotten more involved in the hobbie since ive started its great! So keep trying and remember some days are bad and some days are good!
