Hey guys, no big story here, I literally only intended to drive about 40 miles or so on the turnpike to attempt to get permission, well I don't know why but I just kept on driving, today was one of those days where I didn't feel like doing the door knocking thing and I just wanted to dig, I just wanted to put on the headphones, listen carefully and dig, so off to the old school I went, Found another half!!! sadly a 1986 half lol!!, also got a philly transit token, a 45 Jefferson nickel, 13 wheats and 2 roosies (1947 and 63). Like I said, I just wasn't feeling the knocking on door thing today and this was just fine with me!
hey they cant all be hunts filled with Spanish silver, French colonial, Barber halves, SLQs, LCs etc lol!!!

I hear ya, great hunt, I haven't done the traveling vacuum cleaner salesman in a long time. You never know what silver might be worth in the future?

I'm leaving it all to my kids, except for the spanish pistareen, that's going with me lol

I've felt the same way about door knocking. That's when you head for an old spot...

Not only can't they all be hunts filled with Spanish silver, etc. They are notoriously NOT filled with such. The "average" day's hunt are a few clad, occasional keeper, and garbage. Painting a picture of the only thing worth sharing here is the unique/old/ rare items is truly false. I wonder sometimes how many people buy a detector and if they don't find a gold piece in the first month, they just throw it away.
