I logged 15,000 steps on Saturday walking between 3 cellar holes in the park woods. Had my eye on a couple spots that looked promising on lidar, but they didn’t pan out, so just pounded the old spots a bit more.

The oldest cellar hole 1850-1910 gave up the fatty, LC, tombac pocket knife, lamp parts and buttons. The wooden “brush” also came from this site. It was a surface find in the trash area. Nothing modern at this site. Could this be a hair brush that had wooded mini pegs that was saturated in balsa oil so it was preserved over 100 years? Seems unlikely, but…

That's a lot of steps Thad, plus the time spent at each site, you must have got an all-day pass from the wife :laughing7:
My left foot has been giving me a lot of pain lately, so that kind of hiking is out of the question.
Beautiful large cent, and a nice hair tonic bottle, probably the best bottle I've seen you post.

Yes, it says Parker’s on the other side. Only intact surface find bottle at this site

Thx Steve. I’m trying to average 10,000 steps a day in 2023. MDing helps as does my job. The rainy weather has put a dent in my average, trying to make up for it
