Nice surprise

I had been unable to walk my best field this year due to a very painful foot injury. I had basically written this year off since the tobacco had been harvested and I thought that winter wheat had been planted as a cover crop. Much to my surprise, I drove by there yesterday and discovered that the field has been disced up without any cover crop. Some of the farmers disc the field up and let it sit through the winter bare. This is the first time that my friend has done this (maybe its an early Christmas present ). Hopefully we will get some serious rain in the next week or so and I will have some new finds to post on here.

My foot is healed and I am anxious to get out in that field!
