Went to Huntington Beach yesterday evening for a little more testing of my new toy. ( Excal 1000 ). Found a variety of things including a two foot deep paint can. (Weird) I think some huffers buried it. No gold yet...but there's more activity at the beach as the weather is warming up. For a moment, as the Beach Patrols drove close by, I thought I was going to be confronted... I didn't see any signs about metal detecting. They didn't bother me. There is miles of beach here. As the summer crowed moves in to the water, I'll be getting wet to.
The cost of parking is $10.00. What a rip. Hope I start finding the good stuff to justify the expenditure and gas $$...

and I was griping about paying $2.00 for parking! I hope you find enough to pay for it to make it worth while. Of course I know getting out to hunt is it's own reward but....

I absolutely refuse to go anyplace that charges for parking.
Its more government stealing.

WoW!
Ten bucks for parking?
That's just wrong.

They don't want the poor people to have recreation, or access to the ocean.

It's about $40 if you want to bait a hook and try to catch a fish... in the Pacific Ocean!

Crazy world we're livin' in...

I guess my cost for a trip to the beach has gone up about ten times what it once was.
Don't seem to get there much, anymore.

Sure hope yah dig some gold on yer next trip, Skipper...
I'll watch for your posts.

Thank you All for the comments. State Beaches charge a lot for parking.... >:( The alternative is a parking meter then walk a half a mile or more.

Got my new Scoop today. This will decrease my dig time by half. Hopefully I'll find the "Good Stuff" soon. I should now be able to cover more ground/Beach.

Looks like you had the beach all to yourself. At that price to park you need to find Gold every day!
Good Luck Skipper
