BTT

MMMMM! :tongue1:

I can't wait til our season starts!

Probably a few weeks more before we see them. I've gotten complete monsters in my backyard, as you can see here. (Actual photos, not photoshopped.)

holy WOW! ... Do you live near a Nuclear Plant? Those are B&C sized.... Makes me hungry

Morel (black morel): A relative of the highly-prized truffle; tan to dark-brown, cone-shaped, spongey; smoky, earthy, nutty flavor; expensive and also available canned and dried. The darker the mushroom, the more pronounced is the flavor. This mushroom must be cleaned well when fresh due to its dimpled head

thanks for posting those! first ones ive seen this year, i dont think anything taste better than shrooms and gills! (bluegills}

Bluegills..... the tinny crappie

These shrooms only cause drooling... no hallucinations

we here in ohio call them sponges or mushrooms to you who have never seen them before. They are delicious fried up in a pan with flour

Can you liken the taste to any "normal" food? Yikes! I thought I was not the squeamish type but those are frightening looking critters.
They would scare me away from the table!

Morels, 'shrooms, Hickory Chickens, Landfish, whatever you like to call them I love em'. Usually spend half of turkey season looking for morels instead of hunting ::)..................

Up in N.E. Iowa we turn this kind of treasure into hard cash!
Morels were going for $20 a pound last year.
I'll be heading up the first full week of May to cash in!
