Detected for about five hours today with not much to show for it! I tried hard to find another hot spot, but ended up
going back over the best corner as i new there would still be stuff there!

No hammered, but i did get some silver and a nice little buckle !

Nice finds Shaun,
Is that another lead token?
Could you get a pic of both sides if it has something on the back.
The decimal can go towards the battery fund ;D
Speak soon - Just found my 1st 'Jews Harp' - I'll try and get the photos up tomorrow.
How fast are the farmers working down there?
Nearly all the stubble up here have been ploughed up and set again with in 10 days up here - got no time to do them all!!

Not too fast at the moment David, the old lady farmer who originally gave me permission passed away yesterday :( she was 93!

All they have done on these fields is harvest followed by just a scrape really so all the stubble is down!

ps, The back of the token has four bars running accross it!

Not bad Shaun! I like those medieval lead ... and the currency to find this time ... think anywhere can find a good area full of interesting finds, but not every day can be very good. ::)

All of the above make sense to me. Not only that, I can't make heads or tails out of 1/2 the finds in the UK. It's easy to identify an old coin, but the relics would apprear to to scrap to my untrained eye

Thats what the farmers say when I show them the stuff. I'm glad they didn't find them.
