Not sure where to post this - I'm looking for something....

I'm trying to locate either an old copy of, or someone with access to an old copy of "Saga's Treasure Special 1975" magazine. It is burgundy in color and has a skull and sword on the cover (I believe the title is something like - the 10 biggest treasure caves).

This is the magazine that got me started in treasure hunting and metal detecting - specifically the story about the lost Inca treasure in South America.

I've been watching Ebay and searching other sites for a year or so and I came the closest last Friday when I saw a lot of 7 magazines go up on Ebay including this one. I had the highest bid LITERALLY until 2 seconds before the auction ended and someone outbid my highest offer (If I had known there was another person that interested, I would have put my highest bid significantly higher - sigh - my mistake).

I sent the winner an e-mail offering to pay for a photocopy of the article about the Inca treasure or even for the magazine itself, but never received even a polite response :-(.

If anyone would have this magazine out there, or have access to one and be willing to photocopy the complete article I want, please send me a PM or post here and I'll get in contact with you and work out a payment.

Thanks so much in advance for the help.

Good Morning---

I do NOT have that particular article:
LOST $500 MILLION INCA TREASURE by Krippene---but I do have quite a few OTHER articles on South America---& a few are written by Krippene.

On my link below I have listed about 20,000 articles ( I have about 98% of them ). Scroll down to SA ( South America ) to see the two pages of titles for S. America.

Let me know ( via email ) which articles you want----I'll need your home mailing address. No Charge !!

Re: Not sure where to post this - I'm looking for something....

Jeff & Floyd - thanks so much to you both!!

Jeff, the Inca treasure story is the one I want for sure, but if you don't mind copying the treasure caves article, I'd sure like that as well.

Floyd - I don't have time right now at work, but it sounds like you have a TON of information and I'm gonna start looking through it tonight!! I have no idea why treasure/gold/silver etc... in Ecuador and Peru hold such a fascination for me, but it sure does!! If the practical/conservative side of me didn't always win out, heading to South America and searching/exploring is something I would have done a long time ago.

I'm not young anymore, but I'm not an old man yet either - perhaps there's a trip in my future!

Thanks again - Floyd, after I look through your link, I'll send you a PM
