I will attach later a picture the local were the wood is.

PS: How can i preserve wood after take it from the water. There are a lot of small pieces of wood with the nail marks, that with the last storm came outside fro the sand, and are just rolling in the rocks. I wanted to bring it to the land but i need help with the conservation.

you keep refreshing the water, until it does not have anymore salt in it...large pieces such as keels could take weeks or months depending on the wood and density.

Put it in your toilet tank for several months. Every time you flush it will automatically replace the water.

+1 to boatloads comment, ive done that a few times. other times for bigger stuff like chunks of wood, a lead patch, china and bottles that didnt fit, ive used a plastic garbage can under a downspout to keep the water flushed

btw, you still need to soak the metal pieces as well.

DSC_0023.JPG 003 (4).JPG DSC_0233.JPG same copper sheathing nails. Le Scipion 1782. Didn't find any bronze spikes on this wreck, My guess round bronze ship nails? mid to late 19th century. Good luck with the wood. Not easy, look up preserving shipwreck wood with sugar water.

muntz's sheet metal is a blend of 60 / 40 copper / zinc patented in 1832 ...so the wreck can not pre date that time frame of 1832 because it has the metal upon it
