IMG_0344.JPG Image (9).jpg Image.jpg Our short hunt on Sunday produced the usual clad coins.....45 coins worth $5.94 and an odd looking item that I have no idea as to what it is. The deer symbol sort of resembles the John Deere logo. anyone have an idea on this?

Telephone tokens were usually slotted like that on one side. Just a guess. Or, maybe someone modified it, by machining it for a specific purpose.

It kind of looks like a small gauge of some sort. I would say that is an antelope and not a deer, since the antlers are going backwards away from the head. Possibly Canadian?

Looks like a vintage Impalla car logo and the numbers on the one side seem to represent an old rotary phone dial with the finger stop. The writing below the animal appears to be middle eastern, Arabic or from India.

I'm not familiar with telephone tokens but maybe it is that with advertising on one side.

EDIT:
"vintage copper phone token" search on Google brought this up.
Not Impala, but an Israeli telephone token from about 1966.
Israeli Phone token LINK . (Scroll down to the 9th token)
