Oh my Darling! It's a Trifecta

Rainy day means a day off the rooftops. So I headed out to the woods and came upon an area burned out this summer. Usually I hear about them, but this fire flew under the radar. First couple minutes in and I hit a little pocket spill. A 1954 Rosie, 1945(s) Merc, Buff, and two Wheats. Couple more wheats later and about an hour dry spell. I dug a Sterling Darling pin. After another hour. I managed another silver dime. A 1909 Barber that completed my trifecta, another wheat or two, and a Scranton, Pa Society of Italiana Camilla Covour pin.

beautiful! I am so jealous of the barber! I have yet to find one...
Thanks! The Barbers seem to be popping up for everyone around here this year. I have found over a dozen so far, including a quarter. I found this one in the old blueberry patches on the edge of town. I have found others in blueberry patches as well. You will find them. Good luck, and HH!

Will, you are the king of " middle of nowhere " hunting. Your research definitely pays off for you. I hope my 11 days off will give me a match to just one of those dimes lol. If your goals aren't lofty, it is much easier to stay happy in this hobby:tongue3:

Great hunt Will...remember I'm self employed so if u get a free day and wanna go lmk!

Very well done. Congrats on the trifecta... and I like the sterling pin. Good show!

WTG on that silver dime trifecta. :occasion14: Rosies and Mercs are common around here, but Barbers are as rare as seated dimes in this town.

Thanks OD! Wish I could put as much time I detecting as I do the research. Can't complain. It's been working well so far. I don't have any high goals. Just happy to get out when I can. Best of luck on your days off. Hopefully I can get one to join you.

Free days are tough for me. I get the occasional free couple hours. It would be great to meet and get out with all the NEPA guys. My next day off. I hope to meet up with OD, but I am sure we can meet up and get out at some point.

Nice silvers and a really cool pin

Congrats on your trifecta and all your other finds.

Thanks Loco! I think my first season I found two Barbers. Every year I have been finding more than the season before.
