That will work.
You may not be too far from the truth. It looks like part of a foot rest for a bar. The Bif part gets screwed into the bar, the part with the loop is the actual leg that rests on the floor and a plank lays across the top. You would have a few of them along the bottom of the bar then cut the blank to fit. This is just a guess but it would work.
