;DToday I picked up my first real detector. A Beach Hunter ID. We brought it home and tried it out in the back yard. The first problem I have is that it appears the people that lived here before us were all poor so they didn't lose anything of value. After a half hour of digging up nails, screws and clothespin springs we finally hit paydirt (hopefully see attached). I can count this as my first find and my oldest found coin to date. I cant wait to get to the beach so I can dig up someone else's junk :D. I mean it, my wife had to just about pry the detector from my hand. Does this mean I'm hooked? Is there a cure? Can someone help me?

Hope you do not have to lie and sneak out to detect. Or hid how much you detect. It is a disease. But we only have a problem if we admit it.
